S L J It’s All in the Name

Hi guys,

Todays task is called It's All in the Name.

Rotorua is one of New Zealand’s most popular tourist destinations. In Rotorua they have hot springs and mud pools. One of the most famous pools is called the Devil’s Bath pool at Wai-o-Tapu . The Devil’s Bath pool green pool of sticky water.
We need to make a list. We had to chose what name could the pool be. Because a long time ago people were thinking to change the name of the pool.

I think the pool should be called.
1. The Green Gooey Pool. *
Or
2. The Yucky Light Green Pool.
Or
3. The Rocky Green Pool.

Thanks for Reading.

  1. Hello Andrew,
I am Vitaraag. It seems like you put so much effort into these posts! MY favourite name is The Green Gooey Pool. Do you want to visits the devils bath? I kind of do because that way it will give me an understanding of what it looks like and I can think of a good name. Maybe next time you can say why that name was your favourite. Keep up the phenomenal work!

  2. Mōrena Tory,

Congratulations on completing another SLJ activity. I can see that you have used your imagination to come up with some awesome names! 'The Green Gooey Pool' sounds like a perfect name for this geothermal pool. I also love the name 'The Rocky Green Pool'!

Do you think there might be any creatures living around the area? Would you like to see this pool in real-life to see if the colours are as bright as how we see it in the picture?

    All the best,
    Susie

Great job, your posts are really cool, you have also suggested great names for the pool. You did a great job with providing us about the bath, you have described it well.

I mostly liked the name 'The Rocky Green Pool', because it describes what colour it is and feature that the pool has. Though I do like all of it, they are all very describing.

Next time add a picture/Make sure to attribute your pictures. So people can see what it looks like. Anyways you did an amazing job keep up with the great work!

Have a safe and great holidays!
