S L J Weekly Activities

Hello Girls and Boys,

Today the Summer Learning Journey starts.  I started with activity 3 because the one and two activities are a bit hard.
Activity 3 is about Ice, Ice Baby and it is 100 points.

Antarctica is the coolest continent. Even it is made out of ice. Also it is the driest continent in the world. It also hasn’t rained there for nearly two million years. Antarctica is home to many animals such as whales , seals , bird , Fish and Penguins. However some scientist do vist and stay in Antarctica to study.

Last year Air New Zealand filmed a safety video in Antarctica. They used some awesome actors from Hornby Primary School which is in Christchurch.

Well Thanks for reading my post and I hope you enjoy it.

  1. Kia ora Tory! It is a pleasure to finally meet you online in this blog space. My name is Susie and I will be commenting on your blog throughout the Summer Learning Journey this year alongside our other Blog Commenters. I hope you are excited to take part in this amazing journey!

I am from Korea and it is exciting to come across someone who is from Cambodia. I have never been to Cambodia before but I would love to visit the temples of Angkor. Have you visited Cambodia before or were you born in New Zealand? :)

I can see that you have put down some facts about Antarctica for Activity 3: 'Ice, Ice Baby'. If you read further on, the activity requires you to create your own digital footprint. It is asking your opinion on what you think we need to do to stay smart and safe online.

You can visit the link below to carefully read the activity again :) Looking forward to viewing your digital footprint Tory!

To support my learning I ask you to comment as follows:
1. Something positive - something you like about what I have shared.
2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something helpful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
