S L J The Secretive Skink

Hey guys,
Welcome back to my blog.  I am doing the Summer Learning Journey.

There are not much lizards , geckos and skinks living in New Zealand. Did you know one of the least common thing is the Chevron Skink. The Doc Staff are called Rangers. Because their job is to protect animals and plants living on the Island.

When I am older I am not going to be a Doc Staff. Because it is a bit hard to cam the animals down.

Here is a photo of the lizards, Geckos and Skinks.

  1. Hi Tory,

It's great to see you using images to illustrate your blog posts. Every time that we use an image on our blog, it's really important that we tell our readers where we found it, and give credit to the owner of the picture. To properly credit a picture you will need to include a link to the site where you found the image. We have created a guide that you might find helpful. You can check it out here: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1VKjkMGwBrk2YI6Vtmg91OAQljr_T3ZSV6YZtu6MWFNM/edit
You will need to follow these instructions to earn full points for any Summer Learning Journey activity that has asked you to post an image.

What do you think the three pros (good things) and three cons (bad things) about working as a DOC ranger would be? I think one of the cons would have to be leaving your family behind to go to the animal reserves. What are your thoughts?

    I'd love to know!

    1. Hi Susie,

For the photos I search it up . Then I went to tools Usage Right. Then Label for reuse. I learned that from Miss Morgan. For the Doc Ranger If I left my family behind I would miss them.

    2. Hi Tory,

That is the correct procedure when you are taking an image to reuse. However you will need to once again attach a hyperlink as to where you have got the photo from. The readers of your blog must be able to view the source as well :)

    3. Hi Susie
Miss Morgan also teach us to use explore . Explore is a bit better than google search.

    4. Hi Tory,

Explore is a great tool to use for finding photos. Do you also know about Pixabay? They have lots of free images you can use on your blog. Check it out by searching 'Pixabay' on Google! :)

2. Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what I had to say
3. Something helpful - how have you connected with my learning? Give me some ideas for next time or ask me a question.
