It is also very buys in the city and towns. My home town is Hornby which is in Christchurch. Hornby is a wonderful town. I love Hornby as my home town. Hornby has lots of shop. 1. Good morning Andrew!

My name is Mikey and I am a part of the Summer Learning Journey Programme team. I will be commenting on some of your blog posts over the coming weeks. I'm excited to read your posts and learn a little bit about you and our environment :)

Christchurch sounds like a lovely place to live. What is your favourite thing to do there during the summer holidays? How big is Hornby? Do lots of people live there? I've never been to Christchurch so I'm excited to hear anything you can tell me about it. I live in Auckland at the moment but I'm originally from a small town further north known as Kororāreka (Russell). It's a beautiful little town, surrounded by lovely white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. My parents still live there so I'm lucky enough to be able to go and visit. It's one of my favourite places to spend my holidays. Where's your favourite place to visit?

You've made a great start to your Summer Learning Journey, Andrew! Keep up the great work and I'll talk to you again soon.

    Happy blogging!

    2. Chum reap suor Andrew,

That's great to hear! I expect I'll be busy commenting on all of your upcoming posts then :)

It sounds similar to Auckland - there's lots of people living here too. It's very different from where I grew up. The population of Kororāreka was very small, only 800 people! I hear there are lots of great places to eat in Christchurch. What's your favourite meal?

Great talking to you Andrew :)

      All the best,

      Mikey

Wow! 8007 people? That's quite a lot. Yum! I'm a big fan of Asian cuisine too. Dumplings in particular - I could eat them any time, anywhere! What's your favourite sweet treat? Or do you prefer savoury foods?

      Talk soon!

    6. Chum reap suor Andrew,

Yum! Donuts are delicious! What is your favourite kind? I'm not sure if it falls into the 'sweet treat' category, or if it counts only as a favourite drink, but I LOVE chocolate milk!

      All the best,

      Mikey :)
