Lockdown Artist

 Hello people,

Today's post is from a Lockdown Artist. His name is Henry Sunderland. He did art during lockdown every day.  We did a coloring competition and Henry Sunderland came and judged their drawings. The prizes were Cookies, canteen vouchers and pens.

Here are some facts about Henry Sunderland and some pictures.

1. During Lockdown Henry Sunderland did different types of art each day.

2. He went to the South Pole with a gnome and left him there.

3. He was meant to go to the North Pole With a gnome but the Americans thought he might be spying.

4. The Gnomes that was in the South Pole name was Charlie.

5. He lost his twin brother Eddie to cancer in 1993.

6.  Dr. Jane Goodall signs Achilles the gnome.

7. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern adds her signature to Achilles the gnome.

8. In 1996 Henry Knocked out a wall at Hornby High School.

9. He is a gnomologist's

10.   Students brought toys from their house to decorate the car.

Impasto Painting

Today's post is from art. So far through the term, we have been doing Impasto Painting. And we did our own Impasto Painting. We each had a part of an Impasto painting and tried to draw ourselves.

Drama

Hello People,

This term in Drama we have been learning games and different Topics. My favorite game we played was the night in the Museum. We played many different games it was really cool. It was Thanks to our Drama Teacher Mr. Wilkes. Someone would choose a topic and we would do that topic without getting caught.

We have been learning about the different types of topics. They are Comedy, Tragedy, Melo Drama, and others. My favorite topic is  Comedy because it makes me laugh. I have seen comedy shows on TV and Live. I have been to a theatre and seen different types of shows. An example is Shrek The Musical which is a good video.

Being Back From Lockdown

 During Lockdown here in New Zealand I've been doing works from our class that we have. We had different types of works every weekday mainly. The lockdown homework we had to do was very interesting. Not all of the people in my class did the work because of a problem. I did every single work except for 2.  My lockdown was very boring being back at school seems better than at home. At school, we had to follow some rules and be hygiene. We carried on with the work we did in lockdown.

The Empty Pot

 Hello people,

Today's post is from my hurumanu class. So we watched a video about The Empty Pot. A folk tale is a story that teaches you about things like being honest, not lying and other reasons.

Here is a short summary of it. 

The Tale is about a Chinese Boy who lived in China. The emperor wanted someone else to be the Emperor so all the children in the country went to the Palace and got flower seeds. Each person had to plant the seeds and grow a lovely flower. The Emperor loved flowers so that's why the Children had to Plant flower seeds. Ping tried to grow the flower seed for months and changed the soil and a new pot for it. But it didn't grow. Every kid brought their Flowers to the Emperor's Palace. The Emperor looked at the flowers one by one until it was Ping's turn. Ping told the Emperor the truth about the flower. He was the only one that was honest because all of the flower seeds were cooked. The other kids had cheated. And Ping was chosen to be the Emperor.

Lockdown Reading

Through Out Lockdown we had a Reading table to fill out every day. A lot of people forgot to do it in our Hurumanu Class. We had to read a book and write a bit of a summary about it. I didn't do it every day because I forgot I only did it for two days. The books I read was Genuis Ideas by Liz Pichon and Return Of The Vampire By Elisabetta Dami.

New Zealand Paralympians

Hi People,

 In my Hurumanu class, we had a doc about New Zealand Paralympics. We had to write information about each person that is competing in the Paralympics and add in how many golds, silver, bronze medal they have, and their disability. We got all the information about it on a site.

Lockdown Scavenger Hunt

 Hello people

Today I am blogging about the scavenger hunt which was work from our hurumanu class. We had to find words that are prefixes and suffixes by highlighting them. It was really fun and easy to find the  We also had to write 5 sentences about our lockdown.

Here are my 5 sentences about my lockdown.

In Lockdown I've been doing great. Doing the work that the teachers give us is ok.

  My lockdown has been pretty boring with nothing to do except my lockdown

homework. Also watching the news at 1pm to see how many cases there are and

watching the news if we are going down a level or not. I hope my friends are

finding lockdown OK too.
