🚍🚌🚏EOTC WEEK 2020🌊🏄

 Hello,

Welcome back to my blog post today's post is Surfing. Last week we started EOTC week which means Education Outside The Classroom. On Friday we had Surfing and fish and chips for Lunch. For Surfing the instructor people provided wet suits and rashes for every year 5 and 6 children that was their. We came on 2 buses. The Surfing instructor taught us how to surf. It was easy until we were in the water. 

They gave us rashes to wear so we wouldn't get lost in the water. We had our safety pool. I nearly drowned 7 times. The instructors people helped  me. So thank you

Zones Athletics

 Hola people,

Last week on Wednesday me and other people went to Nga Puni Wai to represent out school Hornby Primary in Zones Athletics. I was competing in relay 60 metre run and 100 metre distance. 

The people in my relay team was Katene, Connor, Nuu and Me. We sadly came last for for the relay.  In the 60 metre distance I think I came 3rd or 4th.  I had to race in the finals.  For the final race I don't know what place I came. 

I made a new friend named Collin from Burnside Primary School. When we arrived back at school we arrived a late. Some other people were still at Nga Puni Wai because their event was not finished.

Athletics

 Hi everyone,

Today's post is about Athletics. On Tuesday we had our Athletics Competition. We had rotations in our year group. My group went to shotput first then high jump, a game, long jump, discus and last was distance running. It was drizzling and cold.  Next it we played a game instead of sprints. Sprints was  meant to be at 12:00pm but it rained so it we did them the next day. Unfortunately there are no photos.

Clued Up Kids

 Hi guys,
On Wednesday Lennox, Freya, Taimana, Mikaylah, Sione, Jade, Renz, myself and Mrs Thorpe ,also known as Miss D, went to the City to the Justice Precinct and Emergency Centre. Other schools went too. We went in and sat down, a girl introduced them and told us where we were going. We did activities going round the Precinct then we had morning tea, we got free drinks and fruit. Next we carried on with some other activities. Then at the end we had a group photo with all of the schools and got a bag with goodies and went in the van back to Hornby Primary School.

Description Writing Week 2

 Hi people,

Today's post is about my Description Writing. This week we were describing a picture prompt. It is a birthday party.

Here is my writing

Plu Plu  the party blower makes a loud sound as I eat the delicious, crunchy, red,  juicy  toffee apple.

White sweet meringues are super tasty. “Happy Birthday" everyone shouted. The girl blew the candle with

excitement. “It’s time for the Pinata", Mum said.

The girl is surprised that it is a fornite llama pinata. It is purple and blue with a fringe. Smash  went the

pinata “Candy, candy"every shouted. Crunch, Crunch, Crunch went the lolly’s into my tummy. Candy is

stuck in my white gleaming teeth.

Sweet, delicious, caramel, creamy chocolate icing, sprinkles cake . The dark chocolate is super creamy

as I eat the cake. Sprinkles giving me more flavour to the cake as the caramel and chocolate melts into

my mouth.

 “ Party Bags for everyone,” Said Mum 

“Yay,'' said the children. “Pop" went the confetti,which is going all over the gray carpet.  It’s home time

now.

Wonder

 Hi People,

Last week for reading my group the Kiwi was reading about the story Wonder. We have to finish the book by the end of the term. 

Here is a little summary of the book.

There is a kid named August. His parents don't want him to go to school because he had like 27 surgery's and also how he looks. A week before school started, August went to the school with his parents. They meet three kids and the principal. There names were Jack Will , Charlotte and Jullian. August's best friend was Jack Will.

100 Word Count Story 😃

 Hi Guys,  

On Monday was the first day back at school for Term 4. Term 4 is the last Term for the term. Well today's blog post  is about my 100 word count story. This weeks prompt is but I had to see what was inside. It had to be 100 words.

Here is my 100 word count

But I had to see what was inside the  treasure chest. It was  real treasure. I can’t believe Mum and Dad were hiding this in the secret room. I decided that the secret room was mine. I asked Mum and Dad very nicely. “ Okkk” Said Mum and Dad.   “ We’ll clean it up and help and help move your stuff” They said. “ Yay I can’t wait to sleep in it” I shouted. It took us 1 week to clean it up and 1 week to get everything in it. My Uncles came and helped. I loved it when it was finished.
